Challenge v. speakeasy
The grids open Tuesday. We want your very best personal essays and traditional blog anecdotes this week. Submit your fiction and poetry over at the speakeasy, where your first line is written for you. Even if you don’t submit, pop over to there for a fantastic collection of creative writing. The moonshine grid has left the light on for the weekend. We’re always here for you.
Open submissions
It’s deliciously open submissions on a permanent basis at yeah write. There is no longer a moderation queue, but all submission guidelines and FAQ still apply. This is especially true of self-promotional posts. I love a great giveaway post (vibrators, anyone?) just as much as the next blogginista, but don’t link it up. It’s about writing on your blog and blogging on your…write. Yeah, that didn’t work out, but you get what I mean.
As you start your winning submission
We love readers. Readers of books, readers of good blogs, readers of the back of the cereal box. We love readers because we know they are the ones who will study the ins and outs of yeah write before adding their first submission. There’s never a need to rush. Over in the upper sidebar is a list of quick links. Archived Q & A sessions, the editors’ group email address, what yeah write is and what it isn’t. If you’re here for the first time or you need a refresher, that list will get you started on the yeah write way.
Weekend moonshine grid is still open from Friday!
The moonshine grid starts at 6 p.m. eastern time on Fridays and closes by 12:01 a.m. on Mondays. Find some new-to-you-blogs and write without the anxiety of being judged, evaluated and voted on by the yeah write editors. Unlimited space, unlimited joy. Still no promotional or commercial posts.
