Seasonal Thoughts

It’s officially autumn here in the US, which means I’m officially depressed that in three months it will officially be winter. In the meantime, we have a few months of people either talking about or making fun of pumpkin spice. On the bright side, in just a few short months we’ll have gingerbread-everything, and gingerbread really is the superior flavor. Silver linings, folks. Silver linings.

My life is currently chaos, which is nothing new at all. It’s different chaos which makes it seem like it’s somehow worse. It’s not, just different. I was recently lamenting that I don’t have time to write but also noted that I have a million ideas. In fact, I can’t seem to stop the ideas. I had to laugh, however, about the fact that when I had more time to write, I felt like the words wouldn’t come, and I was completely void of ideas. What a cruel twist of fate, right? I want to write, but I can’t write. I want a gingerbread latte, but I don’t want winter. It’s the push-pull of life and the seasons themselves.

Luckily for you, YeahWrite is a year-round adventure ready for you when you’re ready to write and be read. We can’t wait for your words, and we’re glad you’re here with us.
