Lost and found

I don’t know about you, but I’ve lost a whole bunch of time lately. I’m guessing it’s hanging out there somewhere with my patience and my wits. On the other hand, I’ve found a bit of inspiration lurking in odd corners, usually where I least expect to find it, and a surprising amount of motivation. I’ve got all of you to thank for that, writers and editors alike.

Speaking of inspiration and motivation, we’re throwing down another poetry slam this month! By popular request, we’re sticking with tritinas. Not sure what a tritina is? Stop by the yeah write coffeehouse and look for the December poetry slam thread. You can pick your own three words or request them from the editors. Not into tritinas? How yeah write works

We’ve got three competitive challenge grids — nonfiction, fiction|poetry and microstories. They are all moderated. Submissions which do not meet our editorial guidelines will not be passed through to the voting grid. The nonfiction challenge opens on Monday, the speakeasy fiction|poetry challenge opens on Tuesday and the gargleblaster micro challenge opens on Wednesday.
