The weekend writing showcase is open!
Happy Friday, everyone! If you’re like me, you are currently recovering from the glutton-fest that was yesterday here in the United States. If you’re also like me, you’re eating a leftover turkey sandwich anyway because that’s just how I roll. So let’s get to it! Grab your favorite beverage, whether that be water, soda, wine or beer, and bring me your best writing this weekend while I try to button my pants.
You got rules, right?
What?! It’s the weekend. There are no rules during the weekend. You can share a post that’s as many words as you like, a piece of fiction, a poem about your love of green bean casserole, or a personal essay on which type of turkey is the best. Spoiler Alert! It’s fried. Don’t act so surprised. I’m from the South. Whatever you want, you can share. Well, except commercial or sponsored posts. That’s the one rule that never changes.
While you’re hanging out with us, please remember to visit other posts on the grid, comment, and take part in the community here! That’s what makes yeah write the place to be.
This is the badge you need
Over in the right sidebar is a list of yeah write badges containing the codes you need to satisfy the backlink requirement (also called a permalink) of the Inlinkz app. The badge for the moonshine looks like this:
Under the badge is a few lines of code. See that? Copy it and then paste it into the “text” or HTML view of your post editor. If you don’t copy it exactly, you will get an error message from the Inlinkz app. If you get confused or your browser is uncooperative, visit the Inlinkz step-by-step instructions here. If all else fails, contact Inlinkz customer support.
Hi Nancy! Checkmarks don’t appear for the weekend grid because there’s no voting (and if there’s no voting then you don’t have to read every one… although we encourage it anyway!). I ran into the same problem with Une Ecrivaine’s story. She also posted it in the coffeehouse, so I just left my feedback there.
Hi, hi. Couple of questions from the newb. I have read all of the posts but checkmarks don’t show for each. Also, Une Ecrivaine… when I try to post on that one it demands that I set up a Google+ profile which I don’t want to do. When I log out at the top, it doesn’t allow me to comment. Anyone know of a workaround so that I can give the writer feedback without a G+ profile?
