It’s the weekend, so the moonshine grid is open
It’s been a rough week for a lot of us. Between the world news cycle and a grueling week at work, I thought we could use a celebration to ring in the weekend. Kick off your shoes, grab a fizzy drink and a pig-in-a-blanket and enjoy the time off. I even invited my cat to the party–she will accept affectionate pats from all of us. Isn’t it scientifically proven that petting a sleeping kitty will lower your blood pressure? Or something like that?
Pet the kitty
Now–while everyone’s in line to pet the kitty–is a good time to submit your blog posts to our weekend grid. This is the place where we call off all the rules that get us through the week and invite you to share whatever you want. An 1,200 word essay on the perils of ice fishing in April, a poem about your pet iguana, a story you wrote last year about a man with a mysterious briefcase, you can post whatever you like. The only rule we maintain to keep the place in order is no commercial or sponsored posts.
