It’s the weekend, so the moonshine grid is open

August is my least favorite month of the year. By now, the sweltering summer heat has killed off whatever was left of the California greenery, and it feels like we’ve been living in a pressure cooker for the past few months. School is about to start, so all the prep work a teacher must do starts being impossible to put off. Time accelerates, and the to-do list just seems to get longer. Right about mid-August, I start wishing it was September already.

So what I need from you is a list of things you love about August. I just need reminders that it’s not all-work and no-play. While you’re leaving these reminders in the comments, I’ll mix us up some weekend cocktails to get the moonshine party started.
