Rowan Grigsby
Managing Editor
Rowan submitted exactly one piece of microfiction to YeahWrite before being consumed by the editorial darkside. She spent some time working hard as our Submissions Editor before becoming YeahWrite’s Managing Editor in 2016. In real life she’s been at various times an attorney, aerialist, professional knitter, artist, graphic designer (yes, they’re different things), editor, secretary, tailor, and martial artist. It bothers her vaguely that the preceding list isn’t alphabetized, but the Oxford comma makes up for it. She lives in Portlandia with a menagerie which includes at least one other human. She blogs at textwall and CrossKnit.

Michelle Longo
Friend of YeahWrite & Guest Super Challenge Judge
Michelle submitted her first entry to YeahWrite in March 2012 and was brought on staff shortly thereafter. From 2016 – 2020, Michelle served as YeahWrite’s Editor-In-Chief. Outside of YeahWrite, she is a writer, editor, digital marketer, and social media manager working with a variety of corporate and independent clients in a wide range of industries. She’s published numerous works of creative and decidedly-not-creative nonfiction over the years. A relatively recent transplant from New Jersey to Southern California, she is on an endless journey to reinvent herself. She almost never blogs at themichellelongo.com.

Jenny is a writer and the host and producer of the podcast Vile Virginia. She lives in Virginia with her kids, a dog, some cats, and a handful of chickens and spends her free time as a cog in the machine of late stage capitalism selling books at a local bookstore. Lisa Shaw
Friend of YeahWrite
Lisa Shaw submitted her first nonfiction piece to YeahWrite in 2014. She believes that no-bullshit truth-telling is the secret to happiness, and she does it regularly at Pryvate Parts and Good Enough for Jazz. She’s a parent through transracial adoption and dreams of inventing the perfect pair of underwear someday–the kind that never needs washing and stays out of her crack. She was honored in 2016 when WordPress Discover named “My Ugly Truth About Parenting a Difficult Child” as one of their end-of-year “Posts We Loved.” You can find her essays at Huffington Post, Scary Mommy, The Mighty, She Knows, ABC7 New York, and the Houston Chronicle.
