It’s the weekend, so the moonshine grid is open
Labor Day weekend is bittersweet. On the one hand, it means summer is officially over. This is definitely sad for those of us who enjoy heat, pools, and BBQs. On the other hand, hey, it’s a holiday weekend. I don’t know about you, but for me that means a day off work. Let’s just enjoy this government holiday and pretend that we never have to go back to work, okay? I’ve got a bucket of ice and a few cases of PBR that Cindy brought over from the challenge grid. It’s enough to keep this party alive until September 2.
No more summer, but…PRIZES
We’re a little bummed that the summer series is now over, but to soothe the aching hole in our hearts, the yeah write editors decided that prizes were in order. Nothing fixes a broken heart faster than prizes, and boy do we have some good ones for you!
- a random penguin mug good for all of your drinking needs designed by friend of yeah writeML Philpott;
- NYT bestselling title Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Redemption and Resilience by Laura Hillenbrand; and
- A $20 Shutterfly Gift Card.
Who gets this stuff? Well, the editors will select the winner from the very best posts from this challenge and next week’s. That means you have two chances to wow us and two chances to win.
We’ve got some more exciting changes coming up for the fall, so make sure you’re subscribed to our weekly e-mail blast. That’s the best way to get all our news, fast! Just fill out that little form in the left-hand sidebar and call it good.
Moonshine or PBR, your choice
Let’s keep this moonshine party going as long as possible, okay? In order to do this, we need you to bring your posts — any posts. Any word count, from any date, on any topic; whatever you want. Read each other’s posts, comment, and enjoy the chaotic beauty of a grid without rules. Well, except for the one rule: no commercial or sponsored posts.
This is the badge you are looking for
Over in the left sidebar is a list of yeah write badges containing the codes you need to satisfy the backlink requirement (also called a permalink) of the Inlinkz app. The badge for the moonshine looks like this:
Under the badge is a few lines of code. Copy that exactly then paste it into the “text” or HTML view of your post editor. If you don’t copy it exactly, you will get an error message from the Inlinkz app. If you get confused or your browser is uncooperative, visit the Inlinkz step-by-step instructions here. If all else fails, contact Inlinkz customer support.
