It’s the weekend, so the moonshine grid is open
So it’s Valentine’s Day. Can you feel the love in the air? No? Well, then, I have something special for you. Nobody, and I mean nobody does love like Shakespeare. He also did madness, death, murder, sex, adultery, cross-dressing and pretty much everything else like nobody’s business, but since today is about love (or bitterness, depending on whether or not you have a date tonight), I’m sharing a scene from one of my favorite Shakespearean adaptations. Happy Valentine’s Day, moonshine crew. You and I are too wise to woo peaceably.
Dost thou desire some libation?
How about some moonshine? The moonshine grid is where we rest from lofty writing goals and breath deeply the air of relaxation. Any post will do. A sonnet? An epigram? A list post? A post from last year’s Valentine’s Day fiasco where you accidentally spilled red wine all over your date and then he disappeared in the bathroom only to never return? Sure, link `em up. They can be any word count, too, we don’t really have any rules except for the one: no commercial or sponsored posts. Please and thank you.
Also … random penguins
If your challenge grid submission was returned with a love letter, then we have a gift for you, courtesy of ML Philpott from I Miss You When I Blink. If you incorporate the suggested revisions from submissions editor Obed’s love letter, then resubmit your post to Friday’s moonshine grid, you will be entered into a drawing for a coffee mug featuring ML’s random penguins.
Shipping available only to winner with US or Canada mailing address.
