It’s the weekend, so the moonshine grid is open
Don’t be jealous of me, but I am going to see The Black Crowes tonight and Pearl Jam on Sunday night. The reason why I ask you not to be jealous is that I have only ever been to one real concert in my life, when someone gave me tickets to see Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young play the Hollywood Bowl a few years back. My chief memory of that concert was the strong smell of illegal smoke and a lot of long, white ponytails. Being a poor twenty-something during the recession was not for the faint of heart.

In between rocking out with Eddie Vedder and Chris Robinson, I’ll also be hanging out here with the moonshine gang. The moonshine grid is where we relax after a long week of rules. We take off our ties and link up posts with any word count, of any subject, or golden oldies. The only rule here is no commercial or commercially sponsored posts. No bowing to The Man on the moonshine.

I am watching all this NaBloPoMoing from the sidelines and love the ingenuity some of you display in your daily posts. You have earned a back-slap and a high-five from us here at the moonshine. I would give you all puppies if that were a practical gift.
Now that the end is in sight, you may be scraping the bottom of the barrel for inspiration and/or energy. Now is the time to maniacally bar the door to keep the kids out, neglect to brush your hair, and just write. No distractions! Write about your very first memory; write about the neighbor’s cat; write about your favorite book; write about why you think your spirit animal is a giraffe; write about Tina Fey.
