Do you have kids? A spouse? Roommates? Pets? Even if you live alone, you can probably appreciate why this week’s ultimate question is both the most common and the most difficult one we’ve ever posed. At least that’s the case in my house, where dinner tells the story of my day. Long day full of meetings? Grilled cheese sandwiches it is. Karate practice at 6:30? Enjoy your hummus and pita at home, kids, and carrot sticks in the car.
Sometimes the trick is to take something mundane and turn it into something extraordinary. That’s all we’re asking you to do here, every week. We can’t wait to see what you’re serving up today.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]
Answer the ultimate question in exactly 42 words: what’s for dinner?
We’re making it easy on you this week with a question that requires only one thing for a good answer: the thing you are serving (or being served) to eat. Please note that the verb tense of the answer should match the verb tense of the question. A few other reminders:
PROOFREAD. Nothing is easier, and nothing will get you bumped from the voting grid faster than typos, spelling or punctuation mistakes, or grammatical errors. You’ve only got 42 words; mistakes stick out.
Keep in mind that your post has to make sense if your reader doesn’t know the question. Don’t use the question as your title or anywhere else in your piece. And remember, any words surrounding your gargleblaster — explanations, references, footnotes, shout-outs, etc. — will be counted against your 42-word limit.
