We have new winners this week. Each of them are relatively new to lovelinks and won the day with honest posts about decisions that have shaped their lives.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote when mostly everyone else on the Interwebs was offline doing offline things, whatever those things may have been. I hear there are these things called kitchens and dining tables and people may or may not have been involved with them while we were here lovelinking away.

The winners are decided by popular vote, editor’s choice by Erica M and lurker’s favorite by @FloodG, our favorite lurker.

The eponymous Care and Feeding of Your Millennial Monster won this week’s popular vote winner with a post about her teenage son’s fractured relationship with his absent biological father. We’ve heard this story too many times from too many mothers and sons, and this blogger’s post tells theirs in touching detail. Congrats on the win!

Pauly B of poorlybee won editor’s choice with his post about his 20th anniversary as a performer as he remembered more of the bad things about the night than he did the good. I imagine that’s also how he thinks back on his career. As he drew me into his wistful story, which was only slightly skewed by regret, Pauly B seemed to accept it all as part of the game, even if he doesn’t know how to fix it.

Pauly B also won Flood’s lurker’s favorite. Remember, I never ask Flood why she chooses a certain post. Sometimes she tells me, this time she didn’t. But we both felt strongly about our identical choice, so we kept it. Congrats, Pauly B, on the place and show.

Bonus: best use of a $20 bill goes to XLMIC.

Congrats to our winners! If you’d like a super cool winner’s button badge for your blog, please email me and I’ll send it right away.

Thanks to everyone who linked up this week. We all would love to be voted #1, but as a perennial 2nd placer, let me say: most of the fun is playing along. Please come back next week. Bring friends.

The blogs are sorted in order of most votes to least votes in the matrix below. In the case of a tie, like if four blogs each got seven votes, the tied blogs are sorted by highest number of page views received.

Lovelinks #33 opens Tuesday.
