This seriously feels like lovelinks #247, but I believe that’s the perimenopause talking.
Besides being unable to keep its mouth shut, it’s trying to kill me:
- My hair is brittle and falling out.
- I’m yelling at my husband who would have broken up with me by now if it weren’t for the fact he hired the worst divorce attorney ever in the history of really, really bad divorce attorneys (true, but confidential story).
- My kids keep taking my temperature with the backs of their hands [ooh, Mommy! Hot!] then snuggling up to me in bed WHICH IS NOT MAKING THINGS BETTER.
- I would have checked myself into a luxury psychiatric facility if I hadn’t Googled “I’m going crazy what can this be besides me going crazy”. Number 1-100 search result: menopause.
- My hypomania, typically manifested by my spending money like I have money to spend, is in full swing.
The good news in all of this?
- Hair grows back.
- My husband loves me more than pockets.
- My kids are displaying wonderful bouts of empathy.
- There is always an explanation for crazy. Thank God the search results ruled out Alzheimer’s.
- Part of my spending spree involves a chance for one of my lovelinks participants to spend a month in The Bloggess’s sidebar.
I’m creating the Bloggess contest rules, making them fair for everyone involved, both veterans and newcomers. There is a tab to the left explaining how the contest will work. It will officially begin Tuesday, September 13 with lovelinks #23 and end with a winner announced after lovelinks #26 on Friday, October 7.
I’m excited. You excited?
Lovelinks#18 is open for voting…
I loved that you used the word hypomania in a casual blog post conversation. I I love even more that one of your comment avatars is my favicon : )
Aw, thanks! Don’t be a stranger. If it’s one person I need in my life, it’s a psychologist.

I’m trying to vote but I don’t think it is registering them. It keeps telling me I have 3 more votes to cast, even when I’ve clicked on one
I see you got it figured out. This linky program can be kind of dumb sometimes.

“I’m going crazy what can this be besides me going crazy” Ha! I’m surprised my name and address didn’t show up. But comparing to Alzheimers does put my hot flashes in perspective. Hey, I’m excited. I think that is the best prize I’ve ever come across.
I’m glad you like the prize! It came to me one day while trying to think of another giveaway. Hopefully, I can expose more people to the contest sponsor—my work at home team—in the process.

Erica, I’m sorry you are feeling rocky. One thing, I do want to tell you though. I have never understood the “Lovelinks” thing at all. I don’t know about the links. I don’t know about how this works. I still love to read what you write. Forgive me. I’m not uncaring. I’m just stupid.

But for you not to know lovelinks, you sure do it well. You visit the linked blogs, you comment on them. I think you’ve even voted for your favorites once or twice. That’s all there is to it. Does that help?
I’m excited! I’ll keep checking out the lovelinks for sure…
However,
grrrrr I haven’t been able to link up since yesterday. I’ll keep trying,…
I’m glad you figured it out! Have fun reading and commenting!
I love Jenny too! So great you are teaming up with her. Watch out for those bananas!
I’m tempted to take a toothpick to the banana bin at Kroger to advertise the contest. Talk about meta.
Yay for the good news – sure makes life worth living!
Good news is awesome news around these here parts.
I think you’re awesome, doing this Bloggess contest. Just awesome.
Fist bumps for loving husbands, empathetic children and hair.
That’s really nice of you to say. I had to think of a way to get our blogs exposed to more people, and bribery seemed the way to go.
