hello? is this thing on?
Sometimes I plan my fiction and poetry, and sometimes I just jump in with both eyes closed and both feet forward and hope for the best.
That’s what I’m doing this week, standing in for fiction editor Christine while she juggles raw eggs, flaming torches, and her kids’ homework. No, I don’t know which of those things sounds more difficult, but I do know I’m on my own right now, so be gentle. This is actually harder than it looks. Sometimes writing really is as hard as any hypothetical circus act, but I know what’s easy: submitting your story or poem to our fiction|poetry grid.
On the other hand, I’ve been wrapping presents all week, so it’s all about the presentation, too. Remember to read the submission guidelines before you press post or hit send, especially if you are new around here (Welcome!). Have a favorite yeah writer or two? Why not ask them to be your writing partner? Everyone needs another set of eyes to point out the typos, word repetitions, content errors, and ungainly phraseologies in our posts.
