It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for…
It’s time to announce the winners of the yeah write super challenge. To get this far, our writers have shared their personal stories and persuaded us to consider their views. Then they took a chance with their writing style and demonstrated flexibility in this final, open round.
I loved being a fly on the wall in the judges’ group for the postmortem of this round. “All the feels,” one judge said, and another commented “I know we’re giving prizes, but this belongs in an anthology somewhere, too.”
We hope everyone had as much fun as we did, and that if you’re not a regular here you’ll stick around for our main challenge grids, both nonfiction and fiction|poetry! It’s a great way to keep in practice and get quality feedback from our supportive community, and we’ve got some exciting changes coming in the next month as part of our sixth birthday celebration, including a new challenge!
Imagine a really big drumroll here, please.

You’re all fantastic writers, and making it this far is something to be proud of. Take that feedback, take your very excellent essay, and start pitching it. Never pitched before? This is a great time to start.
The super challenge is over… but it’s not. We’re looking into the best ways to get your feedback on the challenge so that we can keep making it better. Stay tuned for our fiction superchallenge, with registration opening soon!
Winners, keep an eye on your email: we’ll be checking in to confirm details and get your prizes to you.
In the meantime, take advantage of our regular grids and coffeehouse to keep getting feedback and meeting readers and writers, or hook up your final essay here:
