Day 2 NaBloPoMo at yeah write guest blogger: Jennifer Hall

Hello there from a two-time NaBloPoMo alum!

It’s true, I have committed to and completed November NaBloPoMo twice before, in 2011 and 2012. I am not, however, along for the ride this year.

BUT! I am here for YOU, you crazy blogging bloggers!

Perhaps you’ve planned ahead, plotting out what you will post each day of this month. Or maybe you decided to take the plunge at the last minute and are flying by the seat of your pants. I’m the sort of blogger who does a little of both. I have topics/themes I know I will write about, as well as wanting to remain open to any new ideas that might pop into my head and flow out through my fingertips….

Regardless of which way you’re approaching NaBloPoMo, I would like to impart some tips and tricks that might help you along the way:

[ordered_list style=”decimal”]

  1. Take advantage of blog hops/link-ups* – They give you ideas of what to write about, as well as bloggy fellowship. Also, they’re usually hosted weekly, giving you more than one day covered. If you’re not familiar with very many link-ups, hit me up. I may know a few.

*This most definitely includes the grids here at yeah write!

  2. It’s absolutely FINE (fiiiiiinnnne) to employ “Wordless Wednesday”! Have a really cool picture or group of pictures? Post them.
  3. Can you think of something you’ve NEVER written about before? Maybe now is the time.
  4. Lists! People love a good list post. Especially an informative or otherwise helpful one.
  5. Speaking of helpful, do you know how to do something that you could give a tutorial on? That’s a good blog post right there!

[/ordered_list]

Now go forth, and blog it, baby!

The yeah write NaBloPoMo ’13 archive is here. Click to read what we have going so far!

If you’re joining us this month, add the NaBloPoMo badge to your sidebar then add your blog’s homepage to the grid below. You’ll also need to head over to BlogHer’s November blogroll. We’re piggybacking on their organization and enthusiasm, so please follow whatever guidelines they may ask for participation.

Need some prompts? Rarasaur and her Team Nano Poblano got you covered.
