[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]It’s now officially been a week since I saw the other editors’ faces – their real faces, with squishy facemeat and everything – for the first time, and I’m already having serious withdrawals. How do you explain what it is to know people so thoroughly, and yet never have so much as heard their voices (Arden’s is deeper than you’re picturing it)? For 231 weeks, yeah write has been A Thing, and I’m just flabbergasted every week that it’s a thing I get to be part of. Getting together in person was a dream come true, and when you add on top of that all the new faces we got to meet in Long Beach? I’m still a little dizzy and hungover with joy. Stay tuned for a longer post with all the LBCC microstories in it, our contest winners, and a complete recap.

So welcome back, editors; welcome back, writers; and welcome-welcome, everyone who’s joining us for the first time! This is the very last week of our unmoderated summer grids, and I’ve got the results of the popular vote on all three of our grids – nonfiction, fiction|poetry, and microfiction – right here! Just keep scrolling down to check out the final vote. If you earned the highest number of votes in any challenge, you are this week’s crowd favorite! If you came in first, second or third, you get “top three” honors. Grab your badge from our sidebar!

If you’re lost in the middle of the grid and wondering how you can get a little more feedback on your posts, check out our membership perks! No matter how you did, leave some love in our comments for your favorites, okay?

A quick note to new folks: We love to love you, but if you’re on Tumblr it can be a challenge, so make sure you’re a member of the coffeehouse and remember to ask if you’re not getting feedback!

We’ll be back next week with moderated grids (if you’ve never been here before or it’s been so long that you forgot how that works, take a minute to reread the submission guidelines). But it’s not all about the popular vote, folks, especially in moderated weeks. We also have our editorial staff picks to hand out. Every week our editors comb through your submissions looking for their favorites. Picks are based on writing quality, how successful the author is in conveying information, and just plain style.

Looking for your badge? The fiction|poetry, nonfiction and microstories challenges all have the same winner, staff pick, and top three badges. It doesn’t clutter up our sidebar, and they’ll still look pretty on yours![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_separator color=”grey” align=”align_center”][vc_column_text]

Weekend moonshine grid opens today at 6 p.m. eastern time

Since you can’t join us in person this weekend, why not join us virtually? Grab a post, any post, new or old, and drag it on down to the little corner of the web that we call the moonshine grid. OK, not any post. Leave commercial posts at home. But you and everyposty else should come on down when the grid opens at 6:00pm Eastern US Time tonight![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

Congratulations to the crowd favorites at yeah write #231

The thumbnails are now sorted in order of most votes to fewest. Ties in the overall number of votes are broken by number of editor votes.

Congratulations if you’re at or near the top! Writing well is hard work, and we’re honored you’ve chosen us this week to showcase your entry.

If you’re at or near the bottom, don’t be discouraged. You’re in the right community for learning and growing as a writer, and we are always available with resources for those who ask nicely.

To our readers and voters: thank you! See you next week.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
