It’s the weekend, so the moonshine grid is open
Have you ever tried to design a room on IKEA’s website? They have an interactive app that allows you to determine that the sink will look better under the window on the north wall and that no, a breakfast nook won’t fit in the corner of the room next to the bookshelf. This is helpful for someone trying to move around some major appliances without discovering too late that there isn’t enough space in the room for a dishwasher. However, what’s not helpful is that the app is glitchy–it randomly freezes, or won’t let you move certain pieces of furniture around if the room gets too crowded. I’m about ready to throw my laptop against the 8′ wall that just won’t accommodate both an oven and adjoining countertops.
So anyway, that’s what I’m doing this weekend. How about you? Please tell me you have better plans than futzing around with a temperamental home improvement app. I’m all ears.
