It’s the weekend, so the moonshine grid is open

Yeah write stays open on the weekends because sometimes bloggers just want a few friendly readers. If you’re not sure what to post here, maybe try something extremely out of your comfort zone–if you usually write tearful essays, try a funny listicle; if you usually write nonfiction, try out a spy thriller fiction plot you’ve been itching to fiddle with. The moonshine is the perfect place to experiment with new genres and new styles.

That said, the moonshine is really the place to read and be read–we encourage you to read every post on the grid. If you can’t hit them all, at least read all the posts in your row. This is what makes it a community.

Listen up

Want to hear the rules? Well, you’re out of luck, because there are no rules here. You can post whatever you want. No word count limits, no prompts, no hassle. You can even recycle your favorite post from 2010; you know the one I’m talking about, the one about the guy with the stuff who was at that thing one time? Well, I kind of lied because there is one rule here, but it’s practically nothing: no commercial or sponsored posts. That’s it.

This is the badge you are looking for

Over in the left sidebar is a list of yeah write badges containing the codes you need to satisfy the backlink requirement (also called a permalink) of the Inlinkz app. The badge for the moonshine looks like this:

moonshine

Under the badge is a few lines of code. Copy that exactly then paste it into the “text” or HTML view of your post editor. If you don’t copy it exactly, you will get an error message from the Inlinkz app. If you get confused or your browser is uncooperative, visit the Inlinkz step-by-step instructions here. If all else fails, contact Inlinkz customer support.
