It’s the weekend, so the moonshine grid is open
It’s everybody’s favorite day! No, not free ice cream day, and no, not free coffee day, either. It’s FRIDAY! The day that could not seem farther away from Monday; the day we kick off the work heels that maybe pinch our big toes and put on the comfy slippers; the day we bust open our booze stash. You grab a glass, I’ll pour from our jug of moonshine and we’ll get this weekend party started.
Ain’t no party like a moonshine party
So yes, yeah write has revamped its look (it looks a-mazing). Yes, we’ve got a few new rules for the other grids (::waves hi at submissions editor Rowan::). What we don’t have at yeah write is any changes to this here moonshine grid. We still welcome whichever posts you want to bring here. We’ll take your listicles, your tirades against the final season of Dexter, your photos of your family trip to the corn maze and the vlog you made after your emergency appendectomy. There’s no word count limits, no prompts, just 100% pure moonshine just for you. The only rule we have and will always keep is please, no commercial or sponsored posts. Just follow that one and we’ll get along swimmingly.
Fall season writing contest coming October 19
You know what motivates me more than cash? Almost nothing. So far we have $200 in prizes and we’re working hard to loosen up someone else’s wallet. Consider the weeks leading up to the contest as good practice to get the yeah write way down and then knock us dead with your winning essay. And don’t forget to invite your friends since you could win a prize if your referral wins the contest. It’s all about spreading the love around here!
