It’s the weekend, so the moonshine grid is open

Did you hear the rumor? Apparently it’s the weekend, but I didn’t get the memo. My Internet went down at home, so I am writing this from a cafe with a delicious Oreo frappé thingie and while ordering I saw the day of the week printed in all caps on a chalked menu board. I would have done an inner Snoopy dance ordinarily, but this weekend does not hold good things for me, what with the Internet down and all. What do people do without the Internet? Suggestions are welcome in the comments.

Yeah write weekly writing challenge 2014 summer series is open!

The summer series continues! All the grids (except for the moonshine) have combined into one amazing supergrid and we’ve got writing workshops, a community-based peer review space and a fun hangout all ready for you. We’re running this summer camp until August 22, and each week, we will bring you articles on specific writing-related topics, with the goal of helping everyone in the yeah write family become better writers. By the way, you still have time to vote  for your favorite post on this week’s supergrid, which closes at 6pm tonight. Make sure you head over and give the best post a nudge!

So there’s this moonshine place

The summer series is a great time and place for developing your writing, but summer is also a time for relaxing, and that’s what we have the moonshine for. Here at the moonshine we take it easy on the word count restrictions, hold the prompt, and let loose the regular guidelines. You can post an old favorite that maybe didn’t get enough traffic the first time around, or a vlog where you expound upon the superiority of the Star Wars franchise to Star Trek. We don’t care, we just want you to hang out! Only please don’t link up anything commercial or commercially sponsored, because that’s the only rule here at the moonshine, and we can follow one rule, right?

This is the badge you are looking for

Over in the left sidebar is a list of yeah write badges containing the codes you need to satisfy the backlink requirement (also called a permalink) of the Inlinkz app. The badge for the moonshine looks like this:

moonshine

Under the badge is a few lines of code. Copy that exactly then paste it into the “text” or HTML view of your post editor. If you don’t copy it exactly, you will get an error message from the Inlinkz app. If you get confused or your browser is uncooperative, visit the Inlinkz step-by-step instructions here. If all else fails, contact Inlinkz customer support.
