It’s the weekend, so the moonshine grid is open

Alright, Cindy R promised you Bomb Pops, so I brought my cooler full of them. I’ll be handing them out in honor of Flag Day – ONLY to the winners of the “Who Knows Natalie Best” trivia contest, though. First question – which of the following is NOT true:

  1. Natalie speaks fluent Dutch
  2. Natalie doesn’t really own a cat, she’s just a convincing liar
  3. Natalie drives a Ford Fiesta
  4. This is a trick question, because all of these aren’t true

Moonshine? Yeah, we’ve got that.

Maybe your post didn’t meet the submission guidelines. Maybe it’s too long, or doesn’t have a central conflict, or harkens from three months ago. The moonshine is a space to bring all the posts that don’t fit elsewhere at yeah write. There are no rules except for one: no commercial or sponsored posts. So link ’em up, read, comment, and have fun.

Yeah write weekly writing challenge 2014 summer series open for registration

Man, you’re going to love what we have in store for you this summer! For yeah write’s summer series, the grids will close (except for the moonshine grid) and we’ll be hosting writing workshops galore! The summer will kick off on July 14, and it will run through to August 22. The summer series is for all yeah write participants, so you can bring your fiction, poetry, micro-fiction, personal essays, and other writing to our summer grid. Each week, we will bring you articles on specific writing-related topics, with the goal of helping everyone in the yeah write family become better writers.

Along with our summer grid, we are also offering three levels of writing workshops, including the opportunity to work on your writing one-on-one with Suzanne or me. You can read all the juicy details about the summer series here—or go straight to registration. The summer series is open to everyone, so be sure to tell all your writer friends!

This is the badge you are looking for

Over in the right sidebar is a list of yeah write badges containing the codes you need to satisfy the backlink requirement (also called a permalink) of the Inlinkz app. The badge for the moonshine looks like this:

moonshine

Under the badge is a few lines of code. Copy that exactly then paste it into the “text” or HTML view of your post editor. If you don’t copy it exactly, you will get an error message from the Inlinkz app. If you get confused or your browser is uncooperative, visit the Inlinkz step-by-step instructions here. If all else fails, contact Inlinkz customer support.
