So my WordPress 3.3 update and my Comments Plus plugin got into a horrible fight, and corrupted my Headway Theme install. Loosely translated: two of my feuding roommates got everybody evicted, and I had 24 hours to find us all a new home. Don’t click on much; this current theme is bare-boned until I modify it with all my stuff. But the comments work and, so far, no 404 error pages.

How YOU doin’?

Besides looking for a working theme in time for today’s post, this week of lovelinks is the most fun I’ve had in a long time. Twelve new blogs to read, and the old faithfuls brought their A games. For those of you who don’t know: I have a high schooler, a fifth grader and a toddler. Winter break starts today and I was lovelinkin in the middle of holiday parties and gift shopping for their friends. And being round house kicked by the 2-year-old red ranger. I’m so glad to see you guys, I don’t know what to do.

This is the second week of karma points that can be redeemed for a new blog header, a comprehensive blog review, a charitable donation to an approved charity or some other stuff. The chart is here. I’ll keep track of your points until you get a handle on it or get yourself a CPA.

Shalini @ Reading (and chickens)

won editor’s choice for her post containing a very funny and questionably accurate Venn diagram of Indian people and Chuck Norris. I never knew Indian people and Chuck Norris liked so many of the same things. They are practically the same person, and now we’ve solved the mystery of why they are never seen together in the same room. Congrats, Shalini. First time linking up, first time win. Double awesome.

editor’s choice karma points

2 + 8 + 4 = 14

Sheree @ Romancing the Thrill Quill

won @FloodG’s lurker’s favorite with her panicked story of Santa nearly falling off her roof when her boys were young. It’s packed with action and humor and just the right amounts of so many other storytelling elements: conflict, build up, resolution. If you haven’t already, stop by and enjoy. Congrats, Sheree! First time linking up, first time win. Where have I heard that before?

lurker’s favorite karma points

Ado @ The Momalog

won the popular vote with her post Excuse Me I Beg Your Pardon But I’ve Got Ample Sufficiency, a fun peek into her childhood family life, tortured crush on Andre Rieu and a weird encounter with Robin Williams, all while accepting a blog award. The biggest prize was probably a visit from Jenny The Bloggess who left a cool comment on the post. Congrats, Ado!

popular vote karma points

linking up + popular vote winner + top ten finish

1 + 4 + 4 = 9

Comment karma

goes to NaLonni, a delightful lovelinks virgin who jumped right into lovelinks with the perfect lovelinks spirit. She seems so enthusiastic, and her comments showed she read the posts without skimming. NaLonni gets two additional karma points besides the two she earned by linking up the first time. Thanks, NaLonni!

The virges and their vets

For those virgins who chose songs from iTunes and the vets who got to choose songs for bringing in the virgins: let’s have fun with that in the next post. This one has exceeded everyone’s attention span, even those wide-eyed and Adderalled. Same goes for the lovelinks faithful in the top ten with the most lovelinks appearances. Stay tuned, okay?

In the matrix below, the thumbnails are sorted in order of most popular votes received to least. In case of a tie, like if three blogs got seven votes each, they are sorted by number of page views received, most to least.

Congrats to all the winners, including the ones yet to be announced. Thanks, everyone, for linking up.

Lovelinks #36 opens Tuesday. Yep, the Tuesday during Hanukkah and the Tuesday before Christmas. You guys don’t have any plans, do you?
