Yes, the title of this post is written in the form of a tweet.

I am a multitasking blogger, less so off blog. Off blog, I do one thing at a time unless drinking cocktails with The Princess and the Frog playing in the background count as the second and third.

Stasha from The Good Life won the random drawing, and when I wrote her with the news and to ask respectfully for her shipping address, she was hoping our 68-lb. black Lab puppy Samantha was the prize. Holy moly. If only. Have you seen the island Stasha lives on? Samantha would die happy after just one day lazing by the lake. I thought she was gonna lose consciousness last week when I turned on the backyard sprinklers, she was so excited.

Anyway, until Stasha sends for our puppy dog, she gets a scented candle sold on the website of my new adventure. I’m embarrassed it won’t come with a gift receipt, so both she and Mocha Dad will see how much I paid for their prizes, but at least they’ll know my appreciation doesn’t come cheaply.

Mocha Dad won Prize #2 by earning the most votes in the regular weekly lovelinks. We all loved his story about his daughter Nee and her introduction to sushi, the best normal dinner ever. Did Mocha Dad do the robot at the dance? Read his post and find out. Side trivia: Mocha Dad and I attended the same college and overlapped for a year or so. We live no more than 45 minutes from each other. Have we ever met? No. Probably because he doesn’t like me very much, but neither does Q, and that didn’t stop Q from marrying me.

I don’t normally offer prizes, but I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who’s posted their favorite posts of the week for the past 10 weeks, and especially to those who don’t mind extending that pesky courtesy of linking to free fringes for the wonderful opportunity of reaching out to a few new readers. I may not have the sharpest business mind in the box, but I do know how valuable that particular courtesy is to each blog involved in lovelinks. That’s a whole ‘nother post (which may never get written—you know me by now).

Lori, my newest lovelinks reader/commenter left a note here saying she loved the concept of lovelinks, but didn’t participate this week because she didn’t quite understand what was going on. I’ve heard that floating about the blogosphere, and the confusion is completely my fault. I’ve got issues, okay? Both with explainin’ and with consistency. As Linda Medrano and I both know: being quirky and slightly flaky are not crimes against the government, and it’s not like I take  pictures of my junk and plaster them all over major media networks. No need to beat me up over it.

Having said that: lovelinks began back in April as a way to unite smaller blogs against the larger, more commercial blogs. Blogs that get three comments a month could look forward to lovelinks, and welcome maybe seven new readers that week. Many of us have met new blog friends and Twitter partners through lovelinks and other, similar linkups that are growing in popularity.

We have a place to sign up to make the weekly rounds to comment on the lovelinked blogs, then we come back a few days later to vote for our favorite. The winner usually gets a tweet. This week? A scented candle. Next time? Maybe bath and body loot. My catalogue is legion.

I hope that explains it well enough. I hope you guys continue to link up and comment each week and introduce to us a few more smaller bloggers who could use the friends. We’re available. Like friends for rent who will drink your beer and leave up your toilet seat. Your butt looks great in those jeans.

Lovelinks #11 opens Tuesday.
